My husband’s favorite cake is red velvet so that’s what he got for his birthday this year! It’s layers of red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, topped with chocolate ganache, crushed freeze dried raspberries, macarons, white chocolate shards, meringues, and nugs from Valkyrie Doughnuts… all vegan, of course.
This was my first attempt at a decorated layer cake and it’s a bit lopsided, but it still tasted delicious so I guess that’s what matters. My comfort zone is baking and decorating cupcakes but I would like to start making more cakes because there’s so much more real estate for decorations!
